Gary Scott Karlin, M.D., F.A.C.S.
Dr. Karlin graduated cum laude from Brandeis University in Waltham, Massachusetts and earned his medical degree from the University of Health Sciences, The Chicago Medical School. He served his residency in surgery and urology at the department of general surgery, Long Island Jewish Medical Center, New Hyde Park, New York.
Dr. Karlin is certified by the American Board of Urology and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He is a member of various medical and professional societies including the American Medical Association and the American Urologic Association. In addition to meeting the demands of a busy practice, Dr. Karlin has served on executive committees and has authored presentations, journal articles, book chapters and participated in videos and clinical investigations. He is the founder of the Prostate Cancer Support Group and Impotency Anonymous at Capital Health System in Trenton, New Jersey.
Dr. Karlin is very active in clinical research, he has conducted trials since 1985 and served as the Principal Investigator for over 100 studies. He completed his clinical trial education through the Academy of Pharmaceutical Physicians and Investigators in 2006 for which he received his certification as a Physician Investigator (CPI).
Russell M. Freid, M.D., F.A.C.S.
Dr. Russell M. Freid received his bachelor of arts degree from George Washington University in 1988. He then went on to begin medical training at Hahnemann University of Medicine where he received his medical degree in 1992. Dr. Freid completed a residency in urologic surgery and urology at the Long Island Jewish Medical Center. During his urology residency, Dr. Freid was awarded the William Seery Urology Resident of the Year award three times.
Dr. Freid is certified by the American Board of Urology and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. Dr. Freid also belongs to several medical societies which include: the American Urological Association; American Association of Clinical Urologists; and the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society.
Jarad Scott Fingerman, D.O.
Dr. Jarad S. Fingerman joined our practice in July, 2002. He is a native of Brooklyn, New York. Dr. Fingerman received his bachelor of science degree from the University of Wisconsin in 1992. Afterward, he studied medicine at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in Philadelphia, PA, earning his doctorate in osteopathic medicine in 1996. He began his residency in General Surgery at Albert Einstein Medical Center and afterward went on to complete a second residency in Urologic Surgery.
Dr. Fingerman is a member of the American College of Osteopathic Surgeons and the Pennsylvania Osteopathic Medical Association. He is Board Certified by the American College of Osteopathic Surgeons.
Michael S. Cohen, M.D
Michael S. Cohen, M.D. joined Lawrenceville Urology after completing his residency in general urology and urologic surgery at the Lahey Clinic Medical Center in Burlington, MA. His clinical interests are in prostate, bladder, and kidney cancer, benign prostatic hypertrophy, kidney stone disease, and female incontinence. He has experience in state-of-the-art surgical techniques including: Cyberknife radiotherapy, minimally invasive and robotic da Vinci® surgery for prostate and kidney cancer, laser prostatectomies for enlarged prostates, and advanced reconstruction for pelvic floor prolapse.
He is active in scientific publications, having received 3 research grants, published 12 scientific papers, and presented 15 abstracts. His research interests include prostate, bladder, and kidney cancer. Additionally, he continues to be an active member in the American Urological Association.
Prior to his residency at the Lahey Clinic Medical Center, he earned his medical degree from Cornell University Medical College in New York, NY and his bachelor of science degree from Cornell University in Ithaca, NY.
